Man charged for allegedly cutting up ex's underwear

— A 23-year-old Steamboat Springs man faces one felony and two misdemeanor charges stemming from an argument with a former girlfriend where the man allegedly cut the woman's clothing with a knife.

Blake Andrew Morris faces charges of second-degree burglary, a class three felony, and two class three misdemeanors, criminal mischief and harassment, for an incident that occurred during the weekend.

According to a court file, Morris was arrested after 7 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Mountain Village Drive after police received a report that the excavator was using a knife to cut underwear that belonged to his estranged girlfriend.

Morris was arrested without incident. Bond for Morris was set at $20,000, but the man posted the bond Monday afternoon.

According to a court file, Morris was invited to the woman's residence to get personal belongings. While at the residence, Morris and his former girlfriend, a 23-year-old Steamboat Springs woman, allegedly got into an argument when their relationship was brought up, the file states.
