PLAYERS DO 'SUITE' ACT
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS The Steamboat Community Players are putting on Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite" play at 8 p.m. starting March 2 for every weekend until March 17 at the 7th Street Playhouse. The play's story line takes place in the Plaza Hotel in New York, the audience "looking through the peep hole" of three different groups of people that occupy the suite at three different occasions. Tickets for the show are $10 and can be purchased at All That Jazz and at the door the night of the show.
EDUCATIONAL FUNDS
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS Everything from trips to children's classroom projects will be sold at the 10th annual Christian Heritage Banquet Auction to benefit the Christian Heritage School at 6:30 p.m. March 16 in the Sheraton Grand Ballroom. The banquet and auction will help raise money to lower tuition at the school. The event raised about $50,000 in previous years. Anything over that amount will go toward buying equipment for the media room and computers for the school.
The auction will be presented during the first part of the evening followed by hors d'oevres and a dessert buffet while the students entertain. The banquet is free, but an RSVP is needed. Call 879-1706 for more information.
GALLERY OFFERS 'JOURNEYS'
The Wild Horse Gallery is hosting a one-man show, "Journeys of the Imagination," featuring all of the sculptures of Gary Price March 9-25.
Many of Price's works capture the joy and innocence of childhood. His versatility as a sculptor can be seen in his work that depicts Native Americans and animals, and also his popular piece, "Messenger," showing an angel with outstretched hands.
The gallery has shown Price's works since December 1998. Price will attend the opening reception from 5 to 8 p.m. March 9.
The Wild Horse Gallery is located inside the Sheraton Hotel.
