Former Soroco athlete honored
Former Soroco football star Pete Sigler was honored by the Colorado College Football program by being given the Iron Man and Defensive Champion of the Year awards by the program.
Sigler lettered all four years as a free safety for the Rams. Last season, as a senior, he was elected a tri-captain for the team.
The Iron Man award is given to the player displaying the toughest defensive play and the Defensive Champion goes to the player displaying not only tough defensive play, but also exemplary character and leadership as well as dedication to the game.
Sigler will graduate this May with a degree in psychology and will also have completed his teacher certificate requirements.
