STEAMBOAT SPRINGS The Butterfly Garden Club is willing to send a free packet of seeds to anyone interested in growing certain flowers in the backyard to attract butterflies. To receive free Butterfly Garden seeds, send a self-addressed envelope with two stamps to: Butterfly Garden Club of America, P.O. Box 629 Burgin, Ky., 40310. Limit one package per household, additional packets available for $1. The Butterfly Garden Club is dedicated to increasing butterfly habitats in backyard gardens because of the dwindling populations in both urban and rural area due to habitat destruction.



RUG SEMINAR
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS David Scully of Chase Oriental Rugs will host the third in a series of ongoing Oriental rug seminars 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 15. The free educational seminar, "Design and History of Turkomen Rugs," from Central Asia, will be held at the Chase Gallery showroom in the Riverside Center on Highway 40. Turkomen rugs have not changed their design to fit the international market and come from northern Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. FUN WITH FUNGI
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS A Fun with Fungi seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 17 at the community center in Steamboat Springs. The seminar will explore the ecology and diversity of fungi found in a forest system.



A BREAK FOR KIDS
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS A Blues Break program, Kaleidoscope, offers three sessions of watercolor, acrylics and clay for children off during mid-winter break Feb. 19-23.

The program is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 19-23 at the Depot Art Center. The cost is $55 for each session, all three days. Call Debbie Young at 871-4766 for more information and to register.
