Friday, Feb. 9

One of the country's greatest Grateful Dead cover bands, Shakedown Street, performs at 10 tonight at The Cellar Lounge. The Cellar Lounge is located at 703 Lincoln Ave., 21 and older only.

The popular '80s heavy metal band Quiet Riot plays at 11 tonight at Levelz. Tickets can be purchased at the door, until show sells out, for $20; $18 for locals with a local ID. Levelz is located at 1860 Ski Time Square, Building E, 21 and older only.

The classical and flamenco guitar sounds of Dave Markle will play at 7:30 tonight at the Alpine Bistro, located at 521 Lincoln Ave.

Steamboat's native Mountain of Venus has returned from Boston for a few shows tonight at The Tugboat to perform some of their groove rock beats. The Tugboat is located at 1860 Ski Time Square, 21 and older only.

Paul Geppert will perform his folk, blues and newgrass mix from 6:30-8:30 p.m Friday at Creekside Cafe. While patrons enjoy dinner, Geppert will play for no cover charge. Creekside Cafe is located at 131 11th St.

If you're in the mood for all your old favorites, Worried Men is playing at 9:30 p.m Friday at Old Town Pub & Restaurant. Steamboat's favorite acoustic duo, playing everything "from Willie to Dylan," will be performing in the bar. Located at the corner of Sixth Street and Lincoln Avenue. No cover, 21 and older only.

Saturday, Feb. 10

Monday, Feb. 12

The zydeco, blues and rock originals of Wayne Toups will perform tonight at The Tugboat. From the bayou of Louisiana, Toups has been named one of the feature performers at the 2001 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest. Combining the two genres of Zydeco accordion and Cajun dance, Toups has created his own pot of gumbo. The Tugboat is located at 1860 Ski Time Square, 21 and older only.

Tuesday, Feb. 13

The blues and rock sounds of Daddy Stovepipe, performing covers and originals, play tonight at The Tugboat. From Boulder, the band's style is similar to that of the Allman Brothers with a 20-year-old singer and a 17-year-old drummer. The Tugboat is located at 1860 Ski Time Square, 21 and older only.

It's Ladies Night and loads of hip hop with DJs Catalyst, also known as DJ Rachel, Third Eye and Paradox at 8 p.m. tonight at Levelz. Levelz is located at 1860 Ski Time Square, Building E. Cover is $3, 21 and older only.

Wednesday, Feb. 14

W.C. Clark, blues legend, will play tonight at The Tugboat. He's master of the classic blues guitar with a songbird voice. The Tugboat is located at 1860 Ski Time Square, 21 and older only.

A Progressive House Party with a Masquerade Party theme is at 8 tonight at Levelz. With a few local DJs and only a $3 cover, you could win a $50 bar tab for the best dressed. Levelz is located at 1860 Ski Time Square, Building E, 21 and older only.

Thursday, Feb. 15

Sundance and the Music in Blues will perform their originals and some covers tonight at The Tugboat. The rhythm and blues band has been appearing at The Tugboat for the past eight years. Sponsored by Red Hook. The Tugboat is located at 1860 Ski Time Square, 21 and older only.
