Craig The Hayden boys basketball team was handed its seventh straight loss of the season Tuesday night in Craig, falling to Moffat County's junior varsity 65-46.
The Tigers jumped on the younger Bulldogs and led 14-3 early in the game.
"We came out and played really hard and then just blew it," said Matt Ray, Hayden's coach. "The second quarter just killed us."
The Tigers led 14-12 after the first, but were outscored 27-5 in the second quarter. The Bulldogs led 39-19 at halftime and never looked back.
With the loss the Tigers are now 3-12 on the season. Hayden's final two games of the season are against North Park on the road Thursday and Soroco at home Friday night. The Tigers are 1-8 in league play.
"We have two tough games left," Ray said. "Soroco is playing better. Traveling late on Thursday night will make Soroco tougher than they already are."
The Tigers' lone league win came against the Rams, who have yet to win a league game.
