STUDENT WINS MUSIC AWARD
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS Brittany Lamb, daughter of Larry and Becky Lamb of Steamboat Springs, is a West Central Division winner in the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Junior High School Woodwind Competition. She will travel to Washington D.C. at the end of March to compete as a national finalist in the MTNA National Young Artists Competition.
She earned this opportunity after winning the West Central Division of the MTNA Junior High School Woodwind Competition held in Minneapolis in January.
Brittany is a freshman at Steamboat Springs High School. She has been studying flute for the past nine years and is a student of Mary Beth Norris.
NEW DARTMOUTH STUDENT
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS Lindsay Lockhart, daughter of Ty and Elizabeth Lockhart of Steamboat Springs, has enrolled as a member of the class of 2004 at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.
STUDENTS EARN WYOMING DEGREES
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS Aaron M. Maddox of Steamboat Springs earned a bachelors degree and Cory R. Sullins, also of Steamboat Springs, earned a master's degree from the University of Wyoming at the completion of the 2000 fall semester.
FORT LEWIS GRADUATE
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS Rebecca Anne Holloran of Steamboat Springs graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango Dec. 16, 2000 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science (cum laude).
