POLICE BLOTTER

The following items were taken from the daily blotter from the Routt County Communications Center.

Saturday, Feb. 2

In addition to making dozens of traffic stops Friday, local law enforcement officers responded to a variety of calls.

4:56 a.m. Police responded to a burglar alarm at the new Federal Express building, 2717 Copper Ridge Circle. No arrests were made.

9:53 a.m. Police were called to Steamboat Springs High School because administration officials were concerned about a planned student walkout. The "walkout" was diverted to the auditorium where students were given a chance to express their concerns about teacher salaries and the firing of a campus supervisor.

9:54 a.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at Lincoln Avenue and 13th Street. There were no reports of injuries.

12:42 p.m. A woman reported a theft to police at 845 Howelsen Parkway.

1:32 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at 811 Yampa Ave. There were no reports of injuries.

6:24 p.m. Police were called by an Alpine Taxi and Limo employee to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of U.S. 40 and the road to Yampa Valley Regional Airport. No injuries reported.

9:25 p.m. Police were called to deal with a drunken pedestrian at Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue.
