Vivien Lillian Peters Card died Aug. 7, 2001, in Hayden. She was 90.

She was born March 29, 1911, to William Lester Peters and Lillian Adelade Ervine in Brooklyn, N.Y. Her family moved to Detroit where she in her teen years was a member of a theatrical dance production company. She later married Theodore "Ted" Bliss Card and in the years following lived in New Jersey, Indiana, Utah and Washington. They were married 58 years when she was preceded in death by Ted in 1993. She moved to The Haven in Hayden, December 2000.

Her career was in being a wife and a mother and she was highly involved in her church and community where ever she lived. She was involved in teaching and supervising Sunday schools and in Girl Scouts as a scout and leader much of her life. She loved life and on her 90th birthday she had written a message in her Bible "My 90th birthdayso much goodness already by 10 a.m."

She is survived by a son, Clif Card and wife Sue of Fruitheights, Utah; a daughter, Roberta Rundell and husband Bob of Steamboat Springs; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and her cat, Lickie.

A donation in Vivien's memory can be made to The Haven, Senior Assisted Living Center, 300 S. Shelton Lane, Hayden, CO 81639.

A memorial service was at 3 p.m. August 10, 2001, at the United Methodist Church in Steamboat Springs.
