Smith, Swanson pass CPA exam
Treadway Henion and Kerr, PC announced that Angela Smith and Pam Swanson have successfully completed the CPA exam.
The CPA exam is a rigorous two-day exam which is the final step in receiving a Certified Public Accountant certificate from the State of Colorado.
Rineer promoted to copy editor
Eric Rineer has been promoted to the position of copy editor for the Steamboat Pilot & Today, Editor Scott Stanford announced.
Rineer, a 2000 graduate of the University of Nebraska, joined the Pilot & Today staff in August 2000 as a sports writer. In his new role, Rineer will be responsible for editing stories, designing news pages and writing headlines for the Pilot & Today editions.
Commission seeks new members
The City of Steamboat Springs is seeking community members to serve on the Planning Commission to fill two vacated terms.
The terms, one regular and one alternate position, run through March 31, 2003.

Gas prices drop across Colorado
DENVER (AP) The average price of a gallon of unleaded, self-serve gasoline in Colorado dropped 6.6 cents last week to $1.40 a gallon, the American Automobile Association said.
The price was 22.4 cents lower than the same time a month ago and 18.7 cents less than a year ago, according to the weekly AAA survey.
The average price nationwide was $1.38 a gallon last week, down one cent from last week. That's down 11.2 cents from a year ago.
Vail had the state's costliest gas, $1.74 a gallon, of the cities listed in the survey.
