Remixer, producer and DJ Jon Bishop of San Diego, Calif., spins at Levelz. His style of mixing hard house, progressive house and tech-house is what Bishop calls "Nu-NRG." Bishop recently released his second album on ICU Records, "Global Hardhouse," with a hit "I'm in Control" voted single of the month in the UK's Wax Magazine. Sunday

The Slopeside Summer Concert Series, in conjunction with Wake the Dead music, presents funk band Grand Fiasco opening for Merl Saunders and the Funky Friends from 3:30 to 7 p.m., weather permitting, Sunday. The native San Franciscan Saunders will play the grooviest tunes from his latest CD "Struggling Man," "Merl Saunders & Friends II," with guests John Popper of Blues Traveler and Trey Anastasio of Phish, "Fiesta Amazonica," with guests Jerry Garcia, other Dead members, Trio Bulgarka and Mariana Rosmis, and "Blues From the Rainforest." The 60-something Saunders has been performing feel-good rhythms for more than 40 years, as well as writing music for film and television and runs his own record label company. Saunders still performs about 200 days a year with an energetic vibrance that makes you want to get down, attracting all eyes on stage. Lucinda Williams performs for a free concert at 5:30 p.m. at the bottom of the Headwall lift at the Steamboat Ski Area. Williams, originally from Lake Charles, La., releases her sixth album "Essence" to recapture the bliss, desperation, loneliness and joy that life brings her. Having musical influences that range from Loretta Lynn to Jimi Hendrix, Williams brings a country, folk and religious pop for Steamboat's pleasure. It wasn't until her self-titled 1988 release that people started turning heads and won her a songwriting Grammy for "Passionate Kisses." Six years later "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road" won her a second Grammy.

Hells/Bells, a tributary AC/DC band, performs a theatrical show with pyrotechnics and live firing cannons at Levelz.
