Revelling in DiFranco's disc

Songwriter, guitarist, vocalist and producer Ani DiFranco's new double-disk release is called Revelling/ Reckoning. DiFranco revels in and reckons with the complextities of romance, family, urban life, the passing of time and other stick situations. She looks back on growing up in the '80s and taking stock of what has happened to her and to her country in the intervening years.

Half of the tracks are the solo DiFranco, the other half features Shnae Endsley, Daren Hahn, Jason Mercer, Hans Teuber, Julie Wolf and special guests Jon Hassell and Maceo Parker. There are 29 tracks total in the new release. With her own record label, Righteous Babe Records, DiFranco said producing and recording music at any hour of the day has changed her life.
