— Routt County Search and Rescue was dispatched its most recent mission Tuesday, a brief search for a 36-year-old Michigan man who was missing near Buffalo Pass.
The bow hunter, Joe Svoboda, returned to his hunting camp on his own about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, and the search was called off.
He was reported missing at
5 p.m. that day, 36 hours after he was last seen by his hunting partner on trail 301 on Buffalo Pass near the north fork of Fish Creek.
Eleven Search and Rescue members and one dog were involved in the search, which concentrated its efforts to drainages in the area.
After the search was called off, Routt County Search and Rescue members stayed in the field for a training session.
