Men charged in vandalism

Steamboat Springs Two Steamboat Springs men face a felony charge after allegedly shooting out the windows of three vehicles with a pellet gun.
Robert Lee Jones, 21, and Ryan Cutter, 20, each face a charge of criminal mischief, a class four felony, for their alleged actions in the early morning hours of Oct. 11.
Cutter also faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Due to the charges, Jones and Cutter will appear in Routt County Judge James Garrecht's courtroom this afternoon. Cutter is expected to appear at 1 p.m. and Jones a half-hour later.
The two men were arrested in the early morning hours of Oct. 11. Both men have posted a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
The men were allegedly driving around the city shooting at parked vehicles with a pellet gun, said Assistant Police Chief Art Fiebing. The two men were arrested after a man flagged down a police officer at about 2 a.m. in the 900 block of Oak Street.
