Emma M. Huff 1906-2000

Emma M. Huff died Sept. 18, 2000, at the Yampa Valley Medical Center. She was 94.

Emma was born Jan. 30, 1906, in Garden City, Kan., to Basil and Belle (Newport) Shull. She married John F. Hull July 16, 1925, in Garden City, Kan.

She was a schoolteacher and specialized in teaching children with developmental disabilities. She was also a registered dietitian.

She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Mullen and her husband, J. Robert, of Steamboat Springs; two sons, John Jr. Huff and his wife, Dorothy, of Breckenridge and Robert J. Huff of Sausolito, Calif.; a sister, Anna Lavina Evans of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gladys; and four brothers, James, Elmer, Clarence and Johnny.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Presbyterian Manor in Wichita, Kan. Inurnment will be in the Old Mission Mausoleum in Wichita, Kan. Peterson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
