Victor Gregory 1918-2000

Victor Eugene Gregory of Oak Creek died Oct. 30, 2000, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig. He was 82.
Victor was born Sept. 26, 1918, in Glenwood Springs to Victor and Katie (Rossi) Gregory. He was brought up in Oak Creek and graduated from Oak Creek High School.
Victor served in an armored division of the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a coal miner and a tipple operator at Mid-Continent Coal in Carbondale. He moved to Glenwood Springs after the mine closed and also lived in Mack for a period of time. Victor moved back to Oak Creek seven years ago.
Victor was interested in sports and traveled throughout the area to watch various sporting events. He was a member of the Colorado Athletic Activities Association.
He is survived by a brother, Charles, of Oak Creek.
