Amateur boxers get ready for Fight Night

— Twenty fighters have already signed up for a chance to win $100 in the first-ever local Fight Night hosted at the Strawberry Park Middle School this Saturday night.
"The response has been overwhelming," organizer Tara Nultemeier said. "We are hoping this will fly so that we can do it every year or even every six months."
Nultemeier said this isn't a toughman competition with no rules, but well-organized bouts with rules and referees.
"All the boxers are required to wear gloves, head gear and mouthpieces," Nultemeier said. "We will provide everything but the mouthpiece."
Boxers will compete in three weight divisions, including lightweight to 160, 161 to 185 and 186 and above. Nultemeier said she already has 20 fighters lined up and slots are still open.
Boxers must be beginner or amateur and can win $100 for taking their weight class. There is no charge to enter the fights.
