Construction trade fair scheduled
Tuesday, May 2, 2000
Glenwood Springs Colorado Mountain College's Small Business Development Center is sponsoring a construction trade fair May 13 in Glenwood Springs.
The SBDC designed the fair to provide an opportunity for contractors to learn about the latest products, services and technologies available from suppliers all over the Western Slope and beyond.
Local businesses have responded enthusiastically to the first-time event. Glenwood architect Doug Porterfield jumped at the chance to become part of the trade fair. His DPA Architectural Group is creating a drawing showing booth locations using the same AutoCad software that he uses to design buildings.
Alpine Bank is donating the radio advertising and providing an information booth with experts in construction, commercial and mortgage lending.
"We're a community bank and we feel that the construction trade fair will be very helpful to all of the communities we serve," said Alpine Bank's Marketing Vice President Sue Lagiglia-Corsentino.
In addition, one lucky person will win four Colorado Rockies tickets courtesy of Alpine Bank.
KISS Country FM 105.3 will broadcast live and give away T-shirts, CDs, cassettes and a DeWitt Construction Boombox AM-FM radio donated by Glenwood True Value Hardware.
"Booth space is still available for suppliers, contractors and companies looking for employees," SBDC Director Joe Livingston said.
