Toddler who fell from window goes home

— A toddler who fell out of a third-story window in Steamboat Springs last week has been sent home from the hospital.
The 20-month-old child from West Chicago, Ill. was taken by ambulance to Yampa Valley Medical Center on Thursday with multiple trauma.
He was flown to The Children's Hospital in Denver that day and discharged Sunday.
Ambulance crew member Mike Hirshman said the toddler fell approximately 22 feet from a third-story window at Timber Run Condominiums onto rocks.
He was unconscious for a short time after the fall, but awake and crying by the time ambulance crews arrived.
Hirshman said he did not have any details about how the incident happened. Police were called to assist but did not file a report.
