Don and Judy Sherrod of Steamboat Springs announce the engagement of their daughter, Paula Sue, to Wayne Lano Boerwinkle, son of Rod and Margaret Boerwinkle of St. Petersburg, Fla. Grandmothers of the bride are Helen Sherrod of Steamboat Springs and Maryann Walter of Glendale, Ariz.
The bride-to-be is a nursing student at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.
The groom is an information analyst at Mountain Software Consulting. The couple is planning an Aug. 12 wedding and reception at the Sherrod Ranch in Steamboat Springs. They will be married by Dick McGinn.
Attending the bride as maid of honor will be Denae St. Pearce, and Cori Sherrod will be the bridesmaid. Larnel Cox will be the groom's best man, and Jeff Scheiffler will be the groomsman.
The couple are planning to honeymoon in Hawaii and reside in Denver.
