Man's death under investigation

Steamboat Springs — Steamboat Springs police officers Monday evening were investigating the death of a man at the Nordic Lodge, 1036 Lincoln Ave.
Officers responded to the lodge before 5 p.m. when it was reported a man was found dead in a room due to a gunshot wound.
As of press time, police were treating the death of the man as an "unattended death," Sgt. Paul Timmons said.
Timmons declined to give any information regarding the incident or identify the man. The death is under investigation, he said.
Officers blocked off the entrance of the room and a portion of the parking lot at the lodge with yellow police tape.
