Three teens hurt in rollover

— Four Steamboat Springs High School students were involved in a rollover accident about 2 a.m. Wednesday on County Road 62 near Clark.

Three of the four teenage girls in the car were injured and were taken away in an ambulance. None of the injuries was serious.

One of the girls suffered a broken arm, another had a sore back and the 18-year-old driver complained of whiplash. The girl with the broken arm was not wearing her seatbelt, according to authorities.

State trooper Brad Keadle investigated the accident and found the car on the side of the road in north Routt County. The car had flipped over and was on its top.

Keadle suspected the vehicle was being driven too fast for the road it was on. No alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident. Neither the names of the victims nor information about any citations issued to the the adult driver was available at press time.
