2 arrested after break-in at Hayden High School

— Two males have been arrested after a break-in Monday at Hayden High School.

Marty L. Spor, 18, was arrested Friday by Hayden police on suspicion of felony second-degree burglary and felony criminal mischief. A 17-year-old male also was arrested on the same charges and taken to Grand Mesa Youth Detention facility, according to a press release from Hayden Police Chief Greg Tuliszewski.

Tuliszewski stated that the high school was broken into at about 4 a.m. Monday and the suspects went through lockers, classrooms and desks and took several items of value.

“Through the help of school officials, the public, and the officers' investigation, the Hayden Police Department was able to develop enough information to obtain a search warrant for one of the suspect’s residences,” Tuliszewski stated.

On Friday, police executed a search warrant and collected additional evidence.
