Friday, Sept. 8 

Golf Trout Tournament

Friday, Saturday and Sunday at various times and locations



The events include a day of guided fishing on private waters in the Yampa Valley and 18 holes of golf at the Catamount Ranch and Club Golf Course. Dinner will be at Catamount Friday and at Three Peaks Grill Saturday. Proceeds will go toward the Pleasant Valley Project on BLM property the Yampa River below Sarvis Creek. Yampatika 25th Anniversary Celebration

2 to 4 p.m. | Off the Beaten Path Bookstore, 68 Ninth St.

Off The Beaten Path will present an afternoon with representatives of Yampatika, in celebration of their 25th anniversary. In addition, local author, botanist and herbalist Karen Vail will be talking about her new book, “Edible and Medicinal Plants of the Southern Rockies.”

Routt County Disc Club Presents: Moonlight Madness

7 p.m. | Dry Creek Park, 513 S. Poplar St.

The local disc golf club is hosting a glow-in-the-dark round at the Dry Creek course in Hayden. L.E.Ds will be provided with $10 buy-in, with prizes and payout for top finishers. Registration starts at 7 p.m., with tee off at 7:30 p.m.

Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn

7 to 9 p.m. | Strings Music Pavilion, 900 Strings Road

Béla Fleck is a 16-time Grammy Award winner and Abigail Washburn is a singer-songwriter and clawhammer banjo player who re-radicalized the instrument by combining it with Far East culture and sounds.

Saturday, Sept. 9

Main Street Steamboat Farmers Market

9 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Seventh and Yampa Street 

The Main Street Steamboat Farmers Market features fresh fruit and vegetables each week. The market focuses on food and offers a wide variety of local and cottage industry products and features Steamboat Springs musicians. 

Pet Adoption Day

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Paws ‘n Claws, 1835 Central Park Dr.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC will be hosting the second National Pet Adoption Weekend as part of an ongoing Homes for Dogs project. Hundreds of offices and shelters have teamed up to host events to contribute to the goal of finding homes for more than 20,000 dogs.
