Steamboat Springs events provide pre-finish fun
Lifestyle Expo and beer garden is today

Steamboat Springs — More than 60 race sponsors, including about 25 local businesses and organizations, will have booths set up during the Lifestyle Expo & Sierra Nevada Beer Garden that runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday on Lincoln Avenue, said Kara Givnish, special events and sponsorship director for the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association.
The local businesses are: Ski Town Lifestyle Properties, SportsMed, SmartWool, Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp., Orange Peel Bicycle Service, Routt County Riders, Orthopedics of Steamboat Springs, Steamboat Resort Real Estate, Moots Cycles, Sheraton Steamboat Resort, The Steamboat Grand, Mountain Resorts, Resort Quest, Steamboat Resorts, Prudential Steamboat Realty, Herbalife, Steamboat Ski & Bike Kare, Trailhead Lodge, Steamboat Pilot & Today, Mainstreet Steamboat Springs, The Porches and Honey Stinger, which is a sponsor of the entire race.
Sierra Nevada will serve beer at a beer garden between Eighth and Ninth streets on Lincoln Avenue. And local band Loose Change will perform from 1 to 3 p.m. at Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue.
A live feed of the race will be broadcast on big screens in the beer garden and on the lawn of the historic Routt County Courthouse beginning at about 2 p.m., Givnish said.
Givnish said a kids zone will be located on Eighth Street and will include a bouncy house, face painting, glitter tattoos and hair feathers. She said there will be a charge for some of the children's activities.
