Nicole DuBord graduated from the University of Denver with a master's of International Business Administration. She has a cumulative GPA of 3.58. Nicole is a 2006 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School and lives in Denver.
VNA offers health guide in English and Spanish
Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association has free copies of Healthwise Handbooks available in English and Spanish. The Healthwise Handbook is a 354-page self-care guide with information on first aid and emergencies, common health problems, living better with chronic disease and staying healthy. The handbook is available at 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101, in Steamboat Springs or 745 Russell St. in Craig.
Veterans services are being offered at Sundance Plaza
Veterans can find out which services and benefits they are eligible for through the Routt County Veterans Affairs Office. The office is at 425 Anglers Drive, in Sundance Plaza. Tread of Pioneers Museum is looking for volunteers
The Tread of Pioneers Museum is seeking volunteers. The Steamboat Springs museum needs front desk volunteers to work three-hour shifts. Duties include greeting visitors, answering phones, and collecting admissions and gift shop sales. Friday and Saturday afternoon shifts are especially needed. Local groups reach out to returning service members
The Routt County Veterans Affairs, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4264 in Steamboat Springs and American Legion Post 44 in Steamboat would like to meet and greet local sons and daughters returning from military service. The VFW Post is looking for female war veterans. The American Legion also is looking for new members. Aging Well calendar journals available for $5 donation
Aging Well calendar journals, featuring color photos of 60 active older adults in Northwest Colorado, are available with a minimum $5 donation to the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association. Proceeds go toward Healthier Living Colorado, a low-cost chronic disease self-management workshop for people ages 18 and older and caregivers. Calendar journals are available at VNA offices: 940 Central Park Dr., Suite 101, in Steamboat Springs and 745 Russell St. in Craig; and at The Haven Assisted Living Center, 300 S.
