Reservoir open for boating; inspections are required

Stagecoach Reservoir has opened to boating for the season. In order to keep Colorado waters free from aquatic nuisance species, including zebra and quagga mussels, all boats will be required to be inspected for ANS before launching. The marina boat ramp inspection station hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. The Morrison Cove boat ramp inspection station is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and the boat ramp will be chained closed all other times.

To speed up the boat inspection process, all boaters are encouraged to arrive at the reservoir with a boat that is clean, drained and dry. Dirty boats are not able to be inspected and will be turned away. Any boat found with ANS will not be allowed to launch, on any waters, until decontamination is performed.
