Steamboat Briefs: Dance workshops set for this weekend in Steamboat

Steamboat Dance Theatre presents "Spring Training DANCE Workshops" from Friday to Sunday featuring guest teachers from BreakEFX dance crew and Jenny Schiff. Steamboat Clay Artisans seek nonprofit for benefit

Steamboat Clay Artisans are seeking a nonprofit organization to be the beneficiary of their 2010 fundraiser. Since 2002, members of SCA have created handmade, one-of-a-kind ceramic bowls that are given to ticket holders who fill the bowl with soup, breads and desserts donated by local restaurants and bakeries. Other locally made ceramic items are auctioned during the fundraiser, which is expected to net at least $5,000 for the beneficiary. In the past 10 years, SCA has donated more than $55,000 to local nonprofit organizations through this event.
