Steamboat briefs: Bust of Steamboat looking for local sponsors, artists

The Bust of Steamboat is looking for sponsors and artists for the 10th annual event taking place from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 21 at Three Peaks Grill. Sponsorships are available at all levels and may include tickets to the auction, and your business featured on the event poster, in the evening's auction program and in display advertising.
The Bust of Steamboat is organized by the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project, a completely volunteer organization through which 100 percent of funds stay local and help pay for mammograms, wellness exams and treatment in the fight against breast cancer.

Tread of Pioneers Museum looking for new volunteers
The Tread of Pioneers Museum needs front desk volunteers to work three-hour shifts. Duties include greeting visitors, answering phones, collecting admissions and gift shop sales. Friday and Saturday afternoon shifts are especially needed. The museum also needs help with upcoming special events and is seeking school tour guides. Get Aging Well calendar journals with $5 donation
Aging Well calendar journals, featuring color photos of 60 active older adults in Northwest Colorado, are available with a minimum $5 donation to the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association. Proceeds go toward Healthier Living Colorado, a low-cost chronic disease self-management workshop for people ages 18 and older and caregivers. Calendar journals are available at VNA offices: 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101, in Steamboat Springs and 745 Russell St. in Craig; and at The Haven Assisted Living Center, 300 S.
