New Colorado hunting website launched
May 18, 2012
Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Pilot & Today and the Craig Daily Press have launched http://www.COHunter.com, a website designed to be the home of the Colorado Hunter magazine produced annually by the newspapers.
The new site offers hunters from the region and across the country a clearinghouse of information on hunting in Northwest Colorado.
"This site allows us to bring stories and information from the magazine to a worldwide audience, and that's very exciting," Craig Daily Press Publisher Bryce Jacobson said.
In addition to providing readers with news from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the Bureau of Land Management and other agencies that impact hunting in the state, http://www.COHunter.com has a platform for readers to submit personal hunting stories and pictures. The site also provides a link to an e-edition of the 2011 Colorado Hunter Magazine. The 2012 edition will be released later this year.
"COHunter.com will make it a lot easier for our readers to find the latest news about hunting in Northwest Colorado, including things like weather and available accommodations," Jacobson said. "It also will be very beneficial for our advertisers. When an ad appears in COHunter.com, the advertiser will know that it is being viewed by their targeted audience."
"The beauty of the Internet is that it allows people in a rural area like this to reach people all over the planet," he said. "With this new website, we hope to take advantage of that."
