In January 2006, Saturn (lower right) passed in front of the famous Beehive star cluster. On Nov. 1 of this year, the red planet Mars will do the same. The Beehive is faintly visible to the unaidedeye on a moonless night and was known to the ancient Greeks and Romans as the Manger. Photo by Jimmy Westlake, 2006.
