Pancake breakfast — Little Toots Park, 7 to 10 a.m.

Annual all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is hosted by the Steamboat Springs Lions Club. Proceeds stay local and fund projects such as scholarships and optical care. 12th and Yampa streets.

Nordic combined roller-ski race — Ninth Street downtown, 9:15 a.m.

FREE. 1-kilometer run at 9:15 a.m. and 3-kilometer roller-ski race at

9:30 a.m.

Running Series: Steamboat Sprint — Lyon's Corner Drug Store, 9:40 a.m.

Fourth of July parade — downtown Steamboat Springs, 10 a.m.


Strawberry Festival — United Methodist Church of Steamboat Springs, 11 a.m.

Ice cream sundaes for $3, cones and lemonade for $1. Proceeds benefit local charities. 736 Oak St.

Pioneer Day Block Party — Tread of Pioneers Museum, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Featuring the character of Maggie Crawford sharing stories about Steamboat's first Fourth of July celebration. FREE museum admission, community concert, hot dogs and children's games. Routt beer floats are $3. 970-879-2214. 800 Oak St.

Ski jumping extravaganza — Howelsen Hill, 11 a.m.

HS75 elimination qualifying at 11 a.m. Elimination contest at 12:30 p.m. Awards will follow the events immediately on the ski jumping flats at Howelsen Hill. FREE.

Sunset Happy Hour — top of the Steamboat Ski Area gondola, 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Featuring Off the Chain. Load the gondola from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and enjoy live music and valley views at the top of Thunderhead. FREE for season pass holders or $12 ticket includes $5 off food or drinks. 970-871-5150. 2300 Mount Werner Circle.

Chamberlin Birch — Rex's American Grill & Bar, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Jody Feeley and Brad Rasmussen play contemporary rock, pop covers and originals for happy hour on the patio. FREE. 970-870-0438. 3190 S. Lincoln Ave.

Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series — Brent Romick Rodeo Arena, 6:30 p.m.

Events include team roping, bronc riding, clowns, barrel racing and bull riding. Barbecue starts at 5 p.m. and live entertainment goes on at 5:15 p.m. Fireworks show follows rodeo. FREE for children 6 and younger, $10 for youths ages 7 to 15, $20 for adults. 970-879-1818 or 401 River Road.

Loose Change — Sweetwater Grill, 7 p.m.
