Bat encounter for families — Library Hall at Bud Werner Memorial Library, 3 p.m.
Family-oriented presentation. Step into the mysterious world of bats and explore their benefits, habitats and ways to protect them. On hand will be a variety of bats, including Big Brown bats, fruit bats and the Gigantic Flying Fox Bat from Malaysia. FREE, but donations accepted. www.steamboatlibrary.org/events.
