Community Cinema: "Daisy Bates"

Bud Werner Memorial Library continues the 2011-12 Community Cinema season with a free screening of "Daisy Bates." Daisy Bates was a complex, unconventional, and largely forgotten heroine of the civil rights movement who led the charge to desegregate the all-white Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1957. The film starts at 6:30 p.m. in Library Hall.
