32nd annual Cardboard Classic — Base of Steamboat Ski Area, 10 a.m.
This wild and hilarious rite of spring features homemade cardboard crafts, constructed only from cardboard, glue, string, paint, duct tape and masking tape, racing down Stampede to a hysterical finish. Judging will run from 10 to 11 a.m.; racers 17 and younger will run at 11 a.m.; 18 and older will follow. Call 970-879-6111 for more information.

32nd annual....huh? I was in the 1974 cardboard classic so that makes it at least 38 years ago. Get oyour figures right!!

The cardboard classic was not held for several years. I believe it had nothing to do with drugs, or alcohol, or safety, or what was I typing about?
