Master African drumming and dance classes with Malé Falinke — Library Hall at Bud Werner Memorial Library, 6 p.m.
Steamboat Springs African Dance & Drum Ensemble welcomes Malé Falinke, a djenbefola (master drummer) hailing from a lineage of griot (storytellers) in Mali, who is making his first visit to Steamboat. He is teaching two community classes: a mixed-levels drum class from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and a mixed-levels dance class with live drumming from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The cost is $15 per class.
