Put your baking skills to the test!

Get ready for the Holiday Dessert Bake-Off 2011! Join us as we search for the best recipes in Routt County.

The details:
• Participants must submit their recipes by November 2 and submit their desserts between 7 and 10 a.m. Nov. 4. No secret entries are allowed.
• Entries will be judged in four categories: Pies, Cakes, Cookies and Miscellaneous Desserts. Participants may submit one entry per category.
• A $100 gift certificate to Ace at the Curve and a $50 gift certificate to Moxie will be awarded to the winner of each of the following categories: best pie, best cake, best cookies, best miscellaneous dessert, best presentation and community choice.
• A panel of community judges will determine the winners. Contest sponsors: Ace at the Curve

Wednesday, November 2nd
All recipes are due to the Steamboat Today, 1901 Curve Plaza.

Friday, November 4
7-10 a.m. — Desserts are due to Steamboat Moxie. (A photographer will take a photo of each of the contestants.)
11:00 a.m. — Judging begins.
1-2:30 p.m. — Community coffee and dessert open house with General Manager Scott Stanford and Editor Brent Boyer. All are welcome!

The winter edition of At Home in Steamboat Springs magazine will feature the winners, their desserts and the recipes.
