This race is held in memory of Patty Brenner Hagberg who was struck and killed by a truck along the lower part of the trail in 1991. This race should remind us all of the importance of sharing multi-purpose use trails.
The 9-mile event is run on a challenging and scenic up and down loop of primitive trail, single track, two track, and forest service road with over 1000 feet of climbing, most of which is in the first 3 miles. The 3 mile and 1 mile run/walks are on rolling two-track and single-track.
9 mile trail run begins at 8:00am
3 mile run/walk begins at 8:30am
1 mile fun run begins at 9:00am
Entry fee includes Smartwool socks, a prize drawing, and a post race brunch.
Pre-register by any of the following methods: 1) picking up a race application at another Steamboat Running Series race, 2) picking up an application at Christy Sports in Steamboat one week before race day, or 3) register on-line.
