Alpine Enrichment Program

Have you ever wished that you could aim your camera skyward and take beautiful pictures of the stars, moon, and planets? In this program, CMC?s own astronomy professor, Jimmy Westlake, shares his secrets for shooting award-winning portraits of the heavens and shows how you, too, can take amazing celestial photos with nothing more than your camera and a tripod. Prof. Westlake also demonstrates how to shoot the stars by attaching your camera to a telescope. Hosted by the CMC SKY Club, Shooting the Stars is magnificently illustrated with lots of spectacular images taken by Prof. Westlake. Door prizes will be given! Telescope observing will follow the indoor program, weather permitting. Event location: Colorado Mountain College, Bogue 300
