League of Women Voters will sponsor a candidate forum on Monday, October 16, 7 PM at Howelson Hill, Olympian Hall. State and local candidates will present their qualifications for office and where they stand on issues. After initial 3-minute presentations, candidates will answer questions from the audience. The League, a non-partisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
