Burt and Jacci Mullison, of Loveland, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 25. Burt and Jacci met in Estes Park in 1960. Burt was home on leave from the U.S. Navy, and Jacci was working there for the summer. Burt and Jacci were married Aug. 25 in Greeley at Farr’s Chapel. They lived in Steamboat Springs for 30 years. Jacci was an elementary/middle school teacher and retired in 1997 after 26 years. Burt was in the retail/wholesale business. He also opened his own home inspection business. Driving a school bus was another one of his endeavors, which he loved doing because of the kids. In 2000, the couple decided to retire and moved to Loveland, Burt’s hometown. With too much time on their hands, Jacci began subbing in the elementary schools and Burt drove the school bus. In 2010, they both retired for good, with Burt playing golf and Jacci playing bridge. The couple have two daughters, Kristi Spence, of Steamboat, and Vicki Tudor and husband, Jeff, of South Walpole, Mass. They have four wonderful grandchildren, Bailey, Sam, Hanna and Ethan. In February 2012, they took a pre-anniversary trip to Costa Rica. In August, they will reminisce about their fifty years together for a week in Estes Park. They feel they have reached this milestone because they are best friends, enjoy being together and have a loving family.
