Engagement

Frank and Nickum

Bob and Lois Frank, and Brad and Carolyn Nickum, of Steamboat Springs, are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Mackenzie Frank and Derek Nickum. Both are 2005 graduates of Steamboat Springs High School. Mackenzie graduated from the University of Denver in 2009 and is teaching math at Westminster High School. Derek graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder and will be working for Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City. The wedding is planned for May 15, 2010, at Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton. The couple plans to reside in Salt Lake City after their honeymoon to Jamaica.

Hilling and Gates

Brett and Colleena Hilling, of Hayden, are pleased to announce the wedding of their son, Donald Evan Hilling, to Enancia Gates, daughter of Kevin and June Gates, of Meridian, Idaho. They were married at St. John’s Cathedral in Boise, Idaho, on Jan. 9, 2010, with the reception immediately following. After a brief honeymoon in the Boise area, Evan reports to Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Va. Enancia is planning to join him there after he receives his initial training. Evan, a graduate of Hayden High School, graduated cum laude from Boise State University in December 2008. His bride, Enancia, graduated from Fruitland High School in Fruitland, Idaho, and went on to attend Apollo College, where she graduated as a nationally certified dental assistant. She currently works in the Boise area.

Scott and Tricia Flower, of Steamboat Springs, would like to proudly announce the engagement of their oldest son, Jason Flower, to Brooke Barickman, daughter of Barbara and Tom Camerlo and Kim Barickman, of Pueblo. Jason is a 2001 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School and graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in economics in 2005. He’s a registered representative for Charles Schwab in Denver. Brooke is a 2001 graduate of Pueblo East High School and graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in technical journalism and public relations. She’s a web marketing specialist at The Children’s Hospital in Denver. The wedding is June 26, 2010, in Castle Pines. The couple will honeymoon in Bora Bora and reside in Denver.

Bentley and Benay

Ryan Bentley and Françoise Benay were married in a beach-side ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Sept. 13, 2009. Françoise is the daughter of Nancy Benay and the late Jacques Benay, of Irvine, Calif. Ryan is the son of Meg Bentley and the late Terry Bentley, of Steamboat Springs. Françoise swam competitively in high school and coaches at Boulder’s Fairview High School. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara and has a master’s degree in integrative physiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she is on the faculty. Ryan competed nationally in ski jumping with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and later coached for them. He has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Uni­versity of Colorado at Boulder and works for Ball Aerospace and Technologies in Broom­field. The couple reside in Boulder with their dog, Hazie.
