Everett (Dutch) and Mary Williams are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at the Routt County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall in Hayden from 2 to 4 p.m. June 10. They invite all their friends to come and celebrate with them.
Acker and Hodgden
Ann Gelene Acker and Joseph "Randy" Hodgden of Los Altos, Calif., were married June 2, 2007, at Quaking Aspen Amphiteater at River Run in Keystone. A reception was held at Wolf Rock Restaurant at River Run. Acker is the daughter of Wally and Jan Acker, former Steamboat Springs residents who now live in Silverthorne. Acker grew up in Steamboat and attended The Lowell Whiteman School. Hodgden is the son of Sheri Vigil of Arvada. Hodgden grew up in Denver. Maids of honor were Acker's sisters, Lynn Acker Lannin of Boulder and Leah Acker of Littleton. Bridesmaids were Dayshia Koroulis of Wyoming, Renee Patterson of Santa Monica, Calif., Wendy Dix Reed of Reno, Nev., and Debbie Johnson of Brooklyn, N.Y. Groomsmen were Josh Lannin of Boulder, Alex Corle of Denver and Mike Raulston of Denver. Mary Beth Norris played the flute and Randy Kelley played classical guitar during the ceremony. Both are from Steamboat. Jim Adelman, formerly of Steamboat, was the DJ at the reception. The couple honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and they reside in Los Altos.
Ockunzzi and Bostrom
Jodi Ockunzzi and Jay Bostrom of Missoula, Mont., are pleased to announce their engagement. Jodi is the daughter of Joel and Nancy Ockunzzi of Medford, Ore. She is a 1998 graduate of South Medford High School. She earned her bachelor's of arts from Southern Oregon University in 2002 and her master's of education from the University of Montana in 2005. Jodi is an elementary teacher at Stevensville Elementary School. Jay is the son of Doug and Sally Bostrom of Helena, Mont. He is a 1988 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School. He earned his bachelor's of arts from the University of Utah in 1998 and his master's of arts from the University of Montana in 2006. Jay is a Spanish teacher at Big Sky High School. The couple is planning a wedding at Bitterroot River Bed & Breakfast in Stevensville, Mont.
Melson-Castleman and Vallejos
Judy Melson-Castleman and Antonio Vallejos exchanged wedding vows Saturday, June 9, 2007, at the American Legion Hall in Hayden. Bill Soper of Craig, a friend of the groom, officiated the ceremony. Judy is the daughter of Daniel R. "Doc" and Thelma Melson of Hayden. Antonio "Tony" is the son of the late Antonio E. and Eleanora Vallejos of Helper, Utah. The bride's gown was of elegant chantilly lace, adorned with seed pearls and matching jacket. She was escorted down the aisle by her father who was to assist the bride's grandson, Casey Daniel Castleman, who was unable to attend. The bride was attended by her daughter, Sara Williams of Thornton; the groom's daughter, Tanya Vallejos of Craig; and the bride's niece, Amanda Wallace of Brighton. The groom was attended by his sons, Anthony and Jason Vallejos of Craig. They were to be assisted by the bride's son, Jack Castleman, who was unable to attend. The flower girl was Dionna Wallace of Brighton, grand-niece of the bride, who was to assist the bride's granddaughter, Trinity Lee Castleman, who was unable to attend. The ringbearer was Anthony "Little Tony" Vallejos of Craig, grandson of the groom. The couple make their home in Hayden. She is employed by Links Freight Management, and he is employed by Peabody Coal Co.
Appel and McCool
Larry and Chris Appel of Steamboat Springs and Clarence and Bobbie McCool of Geronimo, Okla., would like to proudly announce the marriage of their children, Keith Appel and Alane McCool. On June 16, 2007, Keith and Alane exchanged their wedding vows at the Hollywood Chapel in Las Vegas with "Elvis" officiating the ceremony. "Elvis" then serenaded the happy couple with "Love Me Tenders" and "Viva Las Vegas" with Alane's uncle Earl witnessing their life-time commitment to each other. After the ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated their union with dinner at Ruth Chris' Steakhouse and a weekend of fun in the sun. They will reside in Steamboat with Keith's children, Christian, 11, and Madison, 8, where Keith and Alane both are self-employed in the construction business.
